    Join us for our High Tea Fundraiser every first Saturday of the month starting on the 4th of September (except January 2022).

    With pastries, Lamb Kofta, sandwiches, doughnuts, and scones served with a pot of tea (or coffee), and the option to add a glass of prosecco for a little extra too!

    Directions Workforce Solutions Inc is proud once again to present the Career Directions expo for 2021.

    This is the third year Career Directions has been held.

    Directions’ Career Directions careers expo features employers from a wide variety of industries and sectors alongside employment service providers and training providers, to help local people connect with the jobs, courses, and support they really need. With over 60 exhibitors already confirmed, this year’s Career Directions expo promises to be bigger and better than ever with plenty to see, learn and discover. Career Directions is a free local event with a strong focus on Aboriginal training and employment options. Attendees will have the chance to engage with businesses from heath, public safety and administration, finance, retail, community services, manufacturing, apprenticeships and traineeships, and so much more. Career Directions is the only homegrown, community focused careers event specifically for the WA Wheatbelt.

  • 25th Anniversary Fete, Geraldton

    Sunday, 12 September
    We are having our new eagerly anticipated 25th Anniversary Fete on Sunday 12th September from 11am – 2pm.

    The school is now 25 years old, and we have not had an occasion to celebrate for a while. Please come along and meet up with us all again, current and past staff and students as well as our current families.

    The Fete provides entertainment, stalls for all age groups, and encourages all students to participate by highlighting their musical talents, their workrooms and of course taking interested visitors on tours of our lovely school. There will be plenty of food stalls to enjoy a bite to eat with old friends and a host of other interesting activities for you to remember.

    We look forward to seeing you at the 25th Anniversary Fete, so please mark it in your diary.

  • Gingin 150th, Gingin

    Saturday, 9 October
    Gingin is one of WA's oldest towns (gazetted in 1871) and its history is rich with stories of pioneers, stockmen and women, Aboriginal culture and many more memories of times gone by. In honour of Gingin's Sesquicentenary (150th), Council in partnership with the Gingin community, is holding a celebration on Saturday, 9 October 2021 in Gingin.

    This anniversary event offers a unique and time sensitive opportunity to display and celebrate the founding history of Gingin and the Shire's other communities by extension. This event will feature a Billy Cart Race, Markets, Historical Displays, Lost Trade Demonstrations, Live Entertainment, Fireworks, plus lots more.

    The historical displays in the Granville Civic Centre will also be open on Sunday (10 October) in addition to the Saturday. Camping will be permitted on Saturday night in town (please register on our website) but not on Friday or Sunday night. If you are intending to come up Friday night, please note that there are a number of caravan parks within the area and other local accommodation venues or else Gingin makes a great day trip from Perth being just 50 minutes from Joondalup, Midland and the Swan Valley.

  • WA Police Remembrance Ride , GELORUP

    Sunday, 10 October
    A motorcycle ride from the Bunbury Police Station to the Joondalup Police Academy raising funds for the WA Police Legacy for families of officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

    The ride stops at BP Baldivis to pick up other riders. The ride is escorted by police motorcycles and is met at the Academy by the Hon Paul Papalia the Minister for Police where a brief Remembrance Ceremony takes place followed by a sausage sizzle.
