  • Midwest Autumn Craft Round Up, Port Denison

    Saturday, 13 April
    Join over 200 people in Dongara for a whole weekend of art and craft classes.

    Everything from applique to zentangle drawing there are over 23 art and craft classes to choose from, with artist who are recognised locally, nationally and internationally for their work.

    Class registrations close 31 March 2019.

    Visitors are welcome to browse and buy from the stalls available over the event.

  • Red Country Music Festival, Port Hedland

    Food vans, market stalls and family friendly activities throughout the festival.

    The Red Country Music Festival has just announced they are bringing Country Music legend, Troy Cassar-Daley, to Hedland on Saturday 22 June 2019.

    Now in its second year, The Red Country Music Festival, was created by Bradley Hall, a local Nyiyaparli man and established musician, who has a vision to bring live country music back to the Pilbara.

    “This event is really about bringing the local Pilbara community together to enjoy awesome music from some of Australia’s best and gives local artists a platform to showcase their talents. Be it in art, music and/or culture.”

    Other acts include Danny Phegan, Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes plus a range of local bands.

    Getting help is important.

    Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention are prime objectives of the Blue Tree Project.

    Thanks to a local family we have a beautiful tree on a Farming Property to paint blue. Our local hardware has donated the paint. Our local tradehire has donated the use of a cherry picker.

    Locals are coming to help us paint the tree.

    I hope this is the first of many. This project is very dear to my heart as I lost my on mum to suicide 17/12/17
