  • Annual Service of Remembrance 2019, BUSSELTON

    Sunday, 24 November
    The Service of Remembrance is a special event for people in our community who have lost a friend or loved one through death.

    It provides a space to honour, remember and celebrate the life and death of this person. It is an opportunity to seek comfort from the experience of others and share hope for the future What to Expect?

    It's a non-religious event that uses music, readings and a candle lighting ceremony to reflect and honour your loved one. You are welcome to bring a photo of your loved one to place on the altar before the Service.

    Following the service a light supper is served.

  • Nov Conversation Cafe - Readers Theatre, Millars Well, Karratha

    Wednesday, 27 November
    The Karratha Women's Place, Millars Well Cooperative, Teesdale Place, Karratha, are presenting a Reader's Theatre performance of the play "Alice and Margo".

    This is a contribution to the 16 Days of Activism for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

    The play is about two friends and how they cope with living in domestic violence relationships. this is a free event and Morning Tea will be provided.

    If you come along, you may wish to have a go at some script reading and you are invited to bring along any poetry they may like to share that may enhance awareness on the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

  • Emergence Art Exhibition, Lismore

    Final year students from Lismore Tafe's Diploma Visual Arts course will showcase their end of year body of work in an exhibition called Emergence.

    Emergence will be launched on November 29 from 5pm in the Drill Hall, Lismore Tafe.

    Mixed works by 15 students will be on display for one week and will include ceramics, paintings, printing and sculpture.

    25th anniversary of the rediscovery of Gilbert’s Potoroo at Two Peoples Bay, after not having been recorded for at least 115 years & being thought to be extinct.

    To celebrate this anniversary, the Gilbert’s Potoroo Action Group are organising a series of events over the weekend of Nov 30/Dec 1, including a 1½ day South Coast Threatened Species forum on Sat Nov 30 (8:30am-4:30pm) & Sun Dec 1 (8:30am-11:00am), a truffle-themed Rediscovery Dinner on Sat Nov 30 from 6:00pm & a lunchtime barbecue & guided walks at Two Peoples Bay on Sun Dec 1 from 12:30pm.
