    The “Fixit Fellas” will be out and about at the October Open Day on October 28 from 10am to 2pm at the South West Rail and Heritage Centre.

    Not only will this talented crew have lots of goodies to keep those men-and she-sheds fully stocked but they have been busily making and restoring a host of items, just ready for your perusal and consideration on this special day. And the “Fixit Fellas” (aka Capel Men’s Shed), along with our other resident groups at the South West Rail and Heritage Centre, the Boyanup Foundation Blacksmiths, the Preston River Old Machinery Group and the South West Model Railway Group, will be on-hand to offer repair advice and solutions to those precious items that have come to grief but are too special to throw out.

    So come along, bring your bits and bobs for repair and advice, your list of ‘must haves' for the shed and check out some special gifts for those hard-to buy-for bodies on your Christmas list.

    The South West Rail and Heritage Centre is located on Turner St, Boyanup and entry is by donation with refreshments available from the iconic Picnic Van and a sausage sizzle.

    A reunion dedicated to all War Veterans who have served our country.

    The Back to the Bush Veterans Reunion is held on the first weekend in November each year and is a reunion dedicated to all War Veterans who have served our country.

    The reunion is also open up to the wider public who wish to share in the camaraderie. Thousands of veterans from all over Australia travel to Bruce Rock to enjoy the camaraderie of this community event.

    The event runs for a week with different social events, sporting competitions and time to chill out and relax in our fabulous community.

    The community of Bruce Rock hold a concert on the Saturday evening as well as markets and veterans march and much more.
